Manchester airport is the most popular airport in the north of England due to its excellent transport links and its relatively central proximity. There are regular trains and buses that go to the airport and they help to ensure that the roads surrounding Manchester don’t get clogged up. Despite this, a vast majority of the people departing from Manchester Airport drive to the airport and, therefore, need somewhere to park their cars. Terminal 3 is one of the most used terminals at the airport because a lot of the flights are domestic flights, and those that aren’t are to the largest European cities. There are always hundreds of cars in the car park, yet the car park has the capacity to cope with many more than that, which makes it an incredibly useful utility.

There are many people who believe wrongly that the price of parking your car in the airport car parks, yet it really isn’t that bad. On average it is a little over £1 per hour, yet for those of you staying for a very short time it isn’t even that much; for a stay of less than 3 hours the cost is only £2. This is much cheaper than the cost of a train and much more convenient; you just have to walk out of the terminal to the car park and be on your way home straight away. So whilst you can, of course, decide to use the public transport system, the overwhelming advice is to drive; it is much more convenient and cheaper.
