I’ve Heard a Lot of Good Things About Manchester

Despite the fact that there have been plenty of other significant events taking place throughout the world during the last couple of weeks, it seems like the news media wants to focus all of their attention on the H1N1 flu virus. As the news started to spread that the H1N1 flu virus was believed to be responsible for more than one hundred deaths in Mexico, people started to panic about the virus having the same effect around the world. Even though people are still worried about the fact that the H1N1 virus continues to spread, it has not caused the same level of deaths that it did in Mexico anywhere else in the world. I wanted to highlight this fact about the H1N1 virus, because for reasons unknown to me, people continue to be extremely worried about this virus continuing to spread around the world. While I find it strange that there is still such a high level of worry about swine flu, a lot of nations are still taking steps to try and lessen the fears of their citizens.

Because I planned it over three months ago, I have decided that regardless of all these swine flu worries, I am not canceling that trip I have planned. Towards the beginning of this year, I planned a summer trip to Manchester with my friend, and we have been excited about spending a week in Manchester ever since we booked our reservations. Since I have already taken care of booking my hotel room, Manchester airport car rental and flight, it would take something much more serious than this current swine flu issue for me to cancel my whole trip. Fortunately, since there is still some time until my trip starts, I’m hoping people will have calmed down about swine flu and moved on to the next thing that the media is making a big deal out of!
